This Past Weekend BP And I Had Enjoyed The Last Night of a Dance Festival in NYC. The Whole Show Was Filled With Epic Dancers,Stage Effects And Amazing Lighting. But This Blog Isn't About How Great That Evening Was. No Not At All;After The Show We Went For a Wobble Through Rockefeller Center. It Was a Saturday Night Around 11....Do You Get What I'm Getting At Here? Ryan Reynolds Was Hosting SNL While Lady Gaga Was Performing. But This Too Isn't What I'm Blogging About Wilis.
This Wasn't My First Time At Rockefeller Center During SNL Hours. Back In The Fall of 2005 When I Was a Young Aspiring Acting Student My Girlfriend Gennylee Came Into The City to Visit. She Was My Adventure Buddy, We Were Like The Hardy Boys Minus The Crime Solving and Rescuing Cats From Trees.
I Had This Huge Rager For Andy Samberg And His Friends From His Comedy Troupe Lonely Island! So While in town Gennylee and I Went on an Adventure. First it started out with her coming back to my apt on AVE B With Two Dudes,I Believe They Were Ian and Justin. Ian Had Paid Gennylee $5 For The Rest Of Her Ginger Ale On The L Train. Some How They Ended Up Inside Stuy Town With Her Giggling About Pop. (That's Pop NOT Pot)Ian Was The Type of Guy That Would Lick His Lips While He Talked; He'd Sneak a Peek Down Your Shirt If He Could. He Was Really Into Puma Gear And Smelt Like Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil. He Was Digging Our Vibe Together and Really Wanted a Piece of That Hamptons Pie. Justin Looked Like a Marc Jacobs Model With a Boring Personality. He Seemed More Interested In His Next Score Fumbling with His Cell Phone All Night.
After Stumbling Down To 1st Ave Justin, Ian's Companion Decided He Wasn't Cool Enough To Hang Out With Two Wild Girls From The Hamptons. He Acted Like a Banana and SPLIT. The Three Of Us Made a Pit Stop At That Really Narly McDonalds on The Corner of 14th and 1st. Ian Was Really Laying Down The Law Thick To Gennylee. But In All Honesty NONE of It Made a Lick Of Sense....
After Being Rejected Ian Exited Too. We Were Left To Our Own Under Age Dreams....THE MISSION: TO CRASH THE SNL AFTER PARTY.
There Are Those Lucky People that Just Happen To Come Across This Party Every Saturday Night, But Only Few Can Really Discover Where It Is. This Was Our Goal,Being Two Young Ambitious Girls With No Fear, Nothing Could Stop Us.
As We Got To The Plaza We Saw This Average Looking Spanish Dude Dressed Up as a Security Guard in The Lobby. We Scanned The Wall for an Open Door; Some How We Got Lucky and Squeezed in. This Guard was Some DeVry College Drop Out That did The Graveyard Shift At The Security Desk. Some How I Was Still Kinda Jealous He Worked in the Building Even Though He Smelt Like Axe Body Spray and He Probably Had a Cousin Named Benny that Sold Boot-Leg Dvd's In Union Sq.
Now This Guard Was BEYOND Useless to us in Completing this Mission. He was Probably Extremely Bored and Just Enjoyed Our Eccentric Banter. I Received a Phone Call From My High School Girlfriend, She was Drunk,Confessing Her Love To Me While She was In a Bathroom in a Hicktown Redneck Bar. Things Got Really Awkward When I Started To Touch Myself Over My Eskimo Jacket And Pulling My Own Hair For the Thrills. Soon After I Realized This Guard Dude Wasn't Going To Tell Us Where The Party Was At I Snapped Out Of My Horny Lesbioic Daze. He Actually Whipped out a Phone Book To Look UP Clubs. REALLY? REAAAAALLLY GUY? FAIL.
We Exited The Lobby,To Wandered Aimlessly Around The Plaza. At another Entrance We Noticed Some Band Members and Teamsters Wearing SNL Jackets and Carrying Instruments. We Snuck In Through The Door, Where I Bumped Into Some Of My Classmates From My Singing Production Class....(I Know I Can't Believe I Went To an Acting Conservatory EITHER) At This Point I Knew We Were In The Right Place....(My Classmates Didn't Have Tv Or Cable. The Biggest Thrill Was To See SNL Live Every Week. Even If It Meant Waiting Online For Several Hours All Saturday)
Then I Heard a little Ting, That Little Tingling Ting-Ting That Tings When An Elevator lands on it Designated Floor. Out Comes Kenan Thompson,Fred Armisen,Amy PoehlerAnd then Will Forte.
I Screamed Wills Name,He Turned Towards My Direction. "Will I Love It When You Make Those Crazy High Pitch Noises. It Makes Me Weep" I Bellowed Out Of My Mouth. He Paused Looked Me In The Face and Said "Why Thank You". "Is It Okay If We Hug" I Asked Nervously. He Nodded and Stepped Closer To Me Wrapping His Arms Around Me. As He Embraced Me I Started To Sigh; Then We Began To Sway Ever So Slowly. We Swayed for a few HEAVENLY moments Until I Suddenly Started To Rub The Back Of His Head With My Soft Little Asian Hands. He Then Proceeded To Do It Back To Me. There We Were Hugging,Swaying and Rubbing Each Others Heads. I Whispered in His Ear "I Hope This Never Ends". He Whispered Into My Ear In a Soft Gentle Voice "It Doesn't Have To". As We Broke Apart I Could Feel a Single Tear Roll Down My Face. AND THAT LADIES and Gentleman Is When I Knew What True Love Felt Like!
After That Security Kinda Rushed Us Out For Loitering or Harassment Or The Chick That Came Down With Mr. Forte Asked Security To Get Us Out,I can't recall the logistics...
Standing Outside in the Blistering Cold We Waited. Genny Was Getting Really Sick Of Our Mission and Felt Like It Was a Losing Battle. How Could We Have Seen Almost All Of The Cast But NOT ANDY? It seemed like we were sooooo close! Then Finally He Came Out With Jorma Taccone And Akiva Schaffer....I Creamed My Pants, I Screamed Like a Japanese Girl That Was Seeing Michael Jackson For The Umpteenth Time. He Kinda Bugged and Was Completely Scared. Genny Begged Him For a Photo With Me. He Reluctantly Posed With Me As I Cheesed So Hard. I Must Have Looked Like a Virgin Next To Jessica Rabbit. What a CHAMP! Even My Closest Friends Would Have Went Running If I Had Acted Like That In Public..... I Was Totes Spent From Our Hours of Nancy Drewing and Was Set With Going Home After All The Excitement. The Mission Wasn't Completed but I Was Happy With Our Results.... Here's Some Photos I Took From MY Wobble With BP
